Arek was a Troll von der Bosen Nachbarschaft son, and his mother, Ondra vom Haus Semm, was a daughter of V Jimmy vom Dalwigerholz. Arek was bred by our friend Mr. Hilmar Schmidt, and we imported Arek when he was about 10 weeks old. We raised and trained Arek from a puppy and I was lucky to compete with him at the 1998 WUSV in Boston, MA, in addition to competing with him at a few other Schutzhund 3 National Championships. Arek was the Regional Schutzhund 1 champion, high in trail in Schutzhund 2, and competed at the German Shepherd Championship at 3 years of age. Arek was a very correctly proportioned, large, masculine dog with OFA good hips and elbows, and was rated V2 at the Regional Conformation show. Arek was bred about 40 times in U.S. and produced 5 dogs that competed at the USA Schutzhund 3 National Championship. He was also a very good producer of hips, elbows, and overall nerve strength. All in all, Arek was a winner, and once-in-a-lifetime type dog, and we were very lucky to have him as a part of our life.
Mitzi was a German import, and was bred to Gothilf von der Kine, who was the Bundesseiger, when we imported her. Unfortunately, she did not have any puppies with Gothilf. Mitzi was a daughter of Anker vom Ursania, who was owned and bred by Mr. Helmut Raiser, and Mr. Raiser competed with him four times at the BSP. Anker was a Drechsler vom Warnautal son (another dog owned by Mr. Raiser) from Illa vom Korbelbach (a top producing Matsch vom Bungalow daughter). Drechsler competed 6 times at the BSP, finishing in the top 16 all six times, was the Bundesseiger in 1982, and finished 3rd and 4th in 1984, and 1981, respectively. Mitzi’s mother was a V Perry vom Beilstein daughter, and Perry was the 1984 Bundesseiger. Mitzi was a Perry-type, medium sized, substantial, self-assured dog, with stable temperament and pronounced drives.
This litter combined the two famous bloodlines of that period and linebred 5-5 on Anderl vom Kleinen Pfahl. This litter was born in 1995, and I remember naming the first born female as – Aika (which means one in Punjabi) vom Patiala.
