Mac’s breed survey (translated in English):

Large, medium strong, dry and tight in the body, normal withers with a slight dip behind them,
tight back, croup short but good position. Upper arm is short and steep, straight front, right
body proportion, under chest is a little short, good hind angulation, steps straight, his elbows
are not fully closed and very good gait, secure temperament, TSD pronounced, outs.

Special comment: dog with very strong pigment and tightness in the body

Mac qualified to participate at the BSP from LG 13 with 96, 91, 94 (placing 5th) and received 95,
80, 93 at the BSP 2010 (placing 53rd). He competed at Landes - FH1 and placed 4th with a score
of 96, and received his FH2 with a score of 96.

Mac is absolutely healthy and able to compete on the Schutzhund field at over 7 years of age.
He is very confident and self assured without being aggressive. His barking in the guarding
phase is very natural, and the grips are hard and full without any shifting during stress. He is
very masculine in his appearance with a broad head, strong pigmentation, strong bones, short
back, tight feet, firm pasterns, wide rib cage and chest, wide hips, and broad thighs. His eyes
are dark. Mac is totally confident and trust worthy with children and puppies.

Mac is a product of the “von der Kine” kennel, which is an old German Kennel that has been
producing top quality German Shepherds for a long time. His father, Vox, and the father’s
mother, Kim, both come from the same kennel. On the mother’s side, both Sally, and Gina
(Gothilf’s sister) come from the same kennel. Vox (Mac’s father) is known to be one of the
better producer as is evident from his top performing progeny even from a very few breeding
he got in Germany and Austria. Vox competed at ÖKV Staatsmeisterschaft 2002. His mother (Sally) is a daughter of Peron vom Hofgut Schick, a very strong dog, who was a product of Grief vom Herculesblick (a top producer) and a very strong Mink vom Haus Wittfeld daughter (Inka).

Mac’s ZW number is currently 83, with 6 out of 9 siblings X-rayed. All six of them have A1 hips
but only for were X-rayed four elbows and all four have a-normal elbows. Mac von der Kine was recently tested for DM (OFA number GS-DM1267/99M-NOPI). The test result indicate that he is homozygous N/N with two normal copies of gene associated with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) susceptibility. In the seven breeds studied at the University of Missouri in depth so far, dogs with test results of N/N (Normal) have never been confirmed to have DM. Therefore Amc can only transmit the normal gene to his offsprings, and it is unlikely that he or his offsprings will ever develop DM.
